Ilo opened the door and found Ellis standing with a German Shepherd at his feet. ‘It’s really no problem, I’m glad to help.’ Ilo smiled before kneeling down and holding out his hand, palm down, for the dog to sniff.
Hey you,’ Ilo said to the dog, scratching its ear. ‘What’s your name, hm? You’re a good looking dog, aren’t you?’ The dog looked normal enough and his collar didn’t look rigged for sound but with the technology S.H.I.E.L.D. had at its disposal he couldn’t be sure.
He looked up. ‘Everything all set? How often does he need to be walked? Any games he likes to play?’
Ellis nodded, smiling as Ilo made nice with the dog. Off to a good start, then. That was always good. Made things go a hell of a lot smoother. “He’s called Happy.” He replied, because of course the dog couldn’t. “Don’t even ask… my son picked the name. I don’t think he’s quite grasped the concept yet that uh, random words don’t make a name. Our other dog, he won’t call it anything but ‘puppy.’” Chuckling, Ellis shook his head, moving to hand Lucien the bag of stuff. A strange concept, really. “Maybe it’s a Disney thing, I dunno…”
He was asking him questions, and Ellis nodded. “Yeah, he’s pretty good with catch. There should be a squishy ball in there somewhere.” He picked up the basket. “As for walking… Well, we usually just leave the door open and let him run wild outside. He always comes back after an hour or two, you know? But uh… new surroundings. I wouldn’t want him getting lost.” He mused over this.
“I reckon once every couple of days would be fine. You need help getting all this in your car?”
