Update: 11 year old trans girl lost appeal → translate.google.com

transawareness:

The above article is an update.  Her mother went to appeal to keep her out of the psychiatric ward and lost.  She will be institutionalized because of her expression of her gender.  She will be held until she conforms to male gender and then released to foster care, not her mother who was supporting her.

Please, if you haven’t signed the petition, sign it, reblog it, ask your friends to sign it. We’ve managed to get 40K signatures for a pageant model, we’ve only gotten 11K for a little girl about to have her life ruined.  Lets get on the ball and spread the word.

Sign It.

As someone who’s had to deal with transgenderism and gender-nonconformity for a very long time, stories like this send me over the deep end. What children (and adults) with this sort of ‘problem’ need MOST in their lives are people who love, understand, accept and support them. I have been extremely lucky - and the longer I have been alive, the more amazed I am at the parents I have.  These people are DESTROYING this little girl - who just happens to have been born with a penis.

For anybody who doesn’t know, Transgenderism and gender noncomformity are considered psychiatric problems. In fact, to have any medical ‘corrections’ made, a person who is transgendered must first be diagnosed as INCURABLY INSANE before they can be granted the right to seek medical correction. The government has control over what they do with their bodies, just like they can now tell women what to do.

I can’t even… this child has been doomed now, to a lifetime of psychotropic drugs, depression, suicidal tendancies, and probably won’t make it to adulthood. If this goes through and this poor child cannot be reunited with her loving, supporting mother, I am pretty sure they have murdered her. Nothing good came come out of this. I would rant more intelligently, but … I can’t even wrap my brain around why someone would deprive a child of the one thing they need most, when there are children out there and adults, who have lost entire families because of this. Lost everything. Or who live in hiding because they COULD lose everything - this child has exactly what she needs and they are robbing it from her.

Well. If anybody has any questions about transgenderism, the medical procedures, government red tape or anything else and they want to ask - feel free to send questions to my Ask. Hate and Fear can only be abolished through love and understanding. Trollers and Haters will be ignored. Those honestly curious will be answered to the best of my ability and as honestly as I can.

Ben & Jerry’s launches ‘Apple-y Ever After’ to support gay marriage in U.K.

By Dylan Stableford | The Sideshow

Ben & Jerry’s, the Vermont proprietor of ice-cream activism, has produced a limited-edition batch of apple pie-flavored pints—called “Apple-y Ever After”—to show its support for same-sex marriage in the U.K., where a gay rights organization has drafted a bill to legalize weddings between same-sex couples.

The apple pie ice cream—available in U.K. scoop shops—includes pieces of apple and chunks of pie crust, and a cartoon of two androgynous people in tuxedos atop a wedding cake on the carton.

Ben & Jerry’s Europe launched a letter-writing campaign to urge members of parliament to support gay marriage, and even created a Facebook app so social network users can marry their same-sex friends, “because everyone is equal and deserves to live Apple-y Ever After!”

This isn’t the first time Ben & Jerry’s has dabbled in same-sex rights advocacy. In 2009, the company renamed “Chubby Hubby” to “Hubby Hubby” in support of gay marriage legislation in its home state.

“Sticking up for civil rights by a progressive company like Ben & Jerry’s goes together like big chunks and swirls in ice cream,” Sean Greenwood, a spokesman for Ben & Jerry’s U.S. operation, wrote in an email to Yahoo News.

If I could I would buy ALL THE ICE CREAM.

New Blog

Just opened up a new Blog:  Character Cookbook

This is a blog where I’ll be posting stuff to help with character creation, repost things like RP rabbit when it’s pertinant. I’ve been getting asked by quite a few people lately, about my process for character creation and for help with getting all those little details into a character, so here it is:

http://charcookbook.tumblr.com/

I won’t promise to update every day, but I will do my best to remember to put up a little something.

Feel free to ask questions in my Ask box, or to leave suggestions there, as well.

God's Drop House for Strays

I swear we are. Some greater force in the universe just ‘knows’ and sends the weak, the weary, the lost and the hungry our home. Last August a Cockatiel, lost and flying loose for at LEAST a week finds its way to our back yard. We set a cage out, in he hops. For the next 7 months, drives us crazy with his noise. We just held on to him until he found the perfect forever home. A disabled veteren who only recently lost the love of his life.. a female cockatiel he’d had with him for 12 years.  Ranger couldn’t have found a better place to spend the rest of his life.

Now, less than a week after the bird finds a home, an older boxer dog comes ambling into the back yard. Huffing and puffing up a storm - exhausted. We feed him. Water him. Find where he lives and are amazed that he made it across 4 lanes of highway during rush hour unscathed.  His owners are delighted to have him found.

1.5 years ago, the Monstercat comes into our lives and now lives with us.

We have a pretty steady stream of the lost and the straying, who are found, fixed, and rehomed.

Must be Karma, or something.
